In early July 2021, my partner and I travelled to California for some adventure. While exploring the foothills of the Sierra Nevada range and driving up Highway 1, I took the opportunity to have some fun experimenting with different genres.

I think a lot of us start out our lives listening to the music exposed to us by our parents and siblings. At some point, we make the decision to pursue our own interests and make choices based on our own desires.

For me, a clear instance of this was around 1999 when a friend played ATB's first album "Movin' Melodies" in a car with my sister and I. It was the first time I heard Trance music and it was the most beautiful, colorful, and exciting sound I'd ever experienced to that point. I bought the tape with lunch money the following week.

I've had a love for 90's Techno ever since and my favorite leisure music is Dance Pop which I'm known to play ad nauseum. This EP is kind of a love letter to the genre with a pinch of H-Town influence thrown in for good measure.
